5-29-26   THOUGHTS

Our reading this morning consists of the final two verses of  2Peter.  Two points are obvious...
1. BE ON YOUR GUARD   2.  GROW.   Steadfastness in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ is key!  Glory be to him, now and forever!  

2Pet 3:17-18   You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, be on your guard so that you are not carried away by the error of unprincipled men and fall from your own steadfastness,  18  but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.
Col 2:5   For even though I am absent in body, nevertheless I am with you in spirit, rejoicing to see your good discipline and the stability of your faith in Christ.

Our Prayer:
We praise and love and thank You,  O God.  Help us to be sober as we stand our guard faithfully.  Teach us greater discipline and self control.  May we be steadfast and stabilized in our pursuit of eternity with You, O Father.   Revive and awaken us to an intense walk in Your Way.  In the name of Jesus,   Amen.
